I'm already overwhelmed. How much time will this take?

This program is designed to lighten your load, not add to it. We work at a manageable pace, breaking each step down into doable pieces so you don’t feel buried in tasks. My goal is to make your future planning sustainable and realistic—while keeping your energy and bandwidth in mind.

How is this different from other resources that haven't helped me in the past?

Most resources offer a one-time consult, a brochure, or a list of phone numbers—leaving you to figure everything out on your own.

This program is different because it’s deep, personalized, and hands-on.

I’ll work with you step-by-step, helping you understand, implement, and follow through with the right supports for your child—without judgment or overwhelm.

You’ll always know your next step, and you’ll have a trusted partner in your corner the entire way.

I don't know where to begin.

Yes, absolutely. Many parents feel completely stuck when they first reach out.

We’ll start wherever you are right now—whether that’s just beginning to think about future care or already knee-deep in a complicated situation.

You’ll get clear priorities, action steps, and ongoing guidance—so you never have to figure this out alone.

What does this program cost?

Every family’s needs are different. We’ll work together to create a support option that fits your situation. Payment options include:

✅ Self-pay (credit, debit, check),
✅ Special Needs Trusts,
✅ STABLE Accounts,
✅ Estate Planning Funds,
✅ Crowdfunding,
✅ The Hart Supported Living Grant.

Payment plans are available. Let’s connect to discuss the best path forward for your family.

Is this program covered by a Medicaid Waiver?

Not at this time. Medicaid waivers have strict guidelines and typically do not cover mentoring, planning, or consultative services like this.

This program is designed to fill the gaps—offering customized support and strategy that goes beyond what the waiver provides, so you can move forward with clarity and confidence.

What if my adult child has complex or unique needs?

This program supports families caring for adults with a wide range of disabilities, including:

Autism Spectrum Disorder,
Down Syndrome,
Cerebral Palsy,
Prader-Willi Syndrome,
Fragile X, Williams Syndrome, and other genetic syndromes,
Intellectual disability (mild to profound),

Helping families with aggressive behaviors, high medical needs, or complex support needs  is one of my specialties.

Whatever your child’s needs, we’ll work together to create a sustainable, thoughtful path forward.

Is it too early to start planning our child's future?

It’s never too early. In fact, the earlier you begin, the more options you’ll have and the less stressful it will feel. Whether you’re still in good health or beginning to feel your energy shift, it’s wise to start putting things in place now—so your child’s care is secure, stable, and sustainable.

How do I get started?

Click the “Get Started” button or use the “Chat with Samantha” link to book a no-pressure consultation. We’ll talk through your concerns and goals, and explore how this program can help you move forward with clarity, relief, and peace of mind.

Can this program help me get the Supports for Community Living (SCL) waiver?

Yes! The Kentucky Supports for Community Living (SCL) Waiver provides essential services for adults with developmental disabilities—but it often comes with a long waitlist.

If you meet emergency criteria—such as caregiver death, serious illness, or imminent loss of housing—this program can help you:

✅ Understand the emergency waiver process,
✅ Gather critical documentation,
✅ Navigate applications with Kentucky Medicaid authorities,
✅ Build backup systems to support

your child in the meantime.
While the state ultimately makes final decisions, my role is to help you build the strongest possible case and make sure no detail is missed.

Why haven't I heard of a program like this before? It seems like so many families need it.

You’re not alone in wondering that. Nationally—and especially in Kentucky—there’s been a major gap in services for aging parents planning long-term care for their adult children with disabilities.

This program was created out of personal experience and a deep understanding of how hard it is to find real, personalized help. It’s designed to fill that gap and make sure no family has to navigate these challenges alone.

Is Samantha a Case Manager?

No—Samantha is not a case manager.

She’s a disability consultant with over 12 years of experience helping families navigate Kentucky’s Medicaid waiver system, hire caregivers through Participant-Directed Services (PDS), and build long-term care solutions that actually work.

She created this support system because case managers are already doing everything they can in a system that’s stretched too thin.

In Kentucky, families are facing impossible challenges:

  • Long waitlists
  • Confusing waiver rules
  • Little to no guidance on how to actually use approved services
  • Limited support when it comes to things like hiring caregivers, navigating self-direction (PDS), or planning for long-term care

Case managers play a vital role—but even the best ones can’t provide the in-depth, personalized support that many families need to feel confident and prepared.

That’s why Samantha developed a hands-on, done-with-you approach: to fill the education, advocacy, and implementation gaps families are struggling with.

This service exists because families deserve more than a system of referrals and 1-800 numbers.

You deserve answers, clarity, and a trusted partner who can help you actually move forward—without waitlists, red tape, or starting from scratch.

Building a Secure Future, Together.

Stop Carrying the Weight Alone.
